An exclusive gallery tour of “Common Ground” – a groundbreaking interpretation of New Mexican art in the Museum’s collection – led by the Albuquerque Museum Director, Andrew Connors, is available by appointment for Ted Turner Reserves’ guests ONLY, Monday through Friday, 9am-5pm.

Mr. Connors was previously the Associate Curator of the Smithsonian American Art Museum in the early 1990s when Mr. Ted Turner and Ms. Jane Fonda requested a tour of the buffalo[bison]-focused paintings by George Catlin painted in the 1830s and 1840s. Mr. Connors will share his memories of preparing for the visit and the deep knowledge Mr. Turner conveyed by identifying herd behaviors depicted in the paintings.

To book your exclusive tour with Mr. Connors, please call 505-243-7255 or email Mila Romero at milaromero@cabq.gov
