Holiday Drive at Sierra Grande, a Ted Turner Retreat

This holiday season, Sierra Grande will again partner with Rio Grande Valley CASA in support of the children they advocate for.  These displaced children have often suffered abuse and neglect, and sometimes enter the foster system with little more than the clothes they are wearing, with no familiar items to hold onto between homes.  Sierra Grande’s lobby will host a Holiday Giving Tree with opportunities for our community to support one of these children with the gift of a personal item they can call their own through this difficult time of transition: a teddy bear, a journal, or a book. 

The Giving Tree will be available starting November 29th in the Sierra Grande lobby, with donations able to be received until December 15th, and will feature fulfillment cards representing each individual child in need. Participants may also donate a gift card of their choosing to be used by Rio Grande Valley CASA advocates in support of their network of foster children. We kindly request that gifts are not wrapped.
