Vermejo, a Ted Turner Reserve, Named to the T+L 500 by Travel+Leisure®

RATON, NEW MEXICO, UNITED STATES (April 19, 2024) – Vermejo, a Ted Turner Reserve, has been named as part of Travel + Leisure’s 2024 T+L 500, recognizing the best hotels in the world. The T+L 500 will appear in the May issue of Travel + Leisure, which hit newsstands today, and will be published online on Tuesday, April 23, 2024.

Each year, the readers of Travel + Leisure vote for their favorite destinations, city hotels, resorts, and more in the World’s Best Awards survey. Drawing on the 2023 World’s Best Awards survey results, Travel + Leisure recognizes the 500 best hotels around the globe in the 2024 edition of the T+L 500, compiled of the hotels and resorts that T+L readers turn to again and again for quality, luxury, exceptional service, and outstanding amenities. The T+L 500 properties are divided into eight geographic regions, designed to serve as a trusted resource for millions of enthusiastic travelers. Vermejo was voted ‘Best Resort in the West’, by last year’s Travel + Leisure readers, ensuring its prominent placement as part of the T+L 500 in 2024. “For many years, Vermejo has been the best kept secret in the Western United States. Being named to the T+L 500, we are excited to welcome new guests from across the globe to experience the unparalleled natural beauty and tailored service Vermejo delivers.” Said Theresa King, General Manager.

Vermejo is part of Ted Turner Reserves, a hospitality brand grounded in conservation with a mission to connect people with nature. With 1.1 million acres across three properties in New Mexico, Ted Turner Reserves includes Vermejo, Armendaris and Ladder and one retreat, Sierra Grande. These properties provide an unequalled opportunity for guests to visit and experience luxurious hospitality, outdoor activities, and unfettered access to nature. By staying with Ted Turner Reserves, guests contribute to environmentalist Ted Turner’s efforts to restore and preserve these properties and their native species and ecosystems.

“The timing of this recognition bestowed by Travel + Leisure readers is notable, as Ted Turner Reserves celebrated its fifth year of operation on the first of this month,” said Jade McBride, President of Ted Turner Reserves. “While our focus from the start was to expose and immerse visitors in these stunning landscapes and share their successful conservation stories, we never lost sight of the importance of delivering a world class hospitality experience. This accolade is the best anniversary gift for a team so dedicated to building a product of service excellence.”
